Location: Flexible hours; hybrid (work from home and visit office 2-3 a month); office is located in Old City, Philadelphia Status: Part-Time (8 hours per week on average) Reports to: Executive Director

Our programming includes social events, matchmaking services, affinity groups called "Tribes," a personal and professional mentorship program for young adults, learning cohorts, and much more. Our vision is to build Jewish connections so that each Tribe 12 constituent can connect with others that inspire them, feel empowered to create their own meaningful experience with Judaism and build Jewish community in our city - or wherever they may go.
Position Summary
The Part-Time Bookkeeper is responsible for managing Tribe 12's day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations, including disbursements, payroll, account reconciliations, expense tracking, financial reporting, and annual audit and budget preparation.
Responsibilities
• Weekly: Disbursements, manage bank account balances, record deposits, distribute Click'n Pledge deposits to ledger accounts
• Bi-Monthly: Generate payroll, update Quick Books, ledger accounts
• Monthly: Reconcile bank accounts, reconcile cash account, download credit card statement to expense spreadsheet, input credit card expenses into Quick Books, generate actual vs budget performance report and budget narrative
• Annual: Work with Executive Director and Finance Chair on proposed budget, prepare for audit, prepare year-end financials, insurance renewals,WC Audit)
Required Skills and Experience
• Background in bookkeeping or accounting
• Knowledge of Quickbooks is desirable
• Detailed and organized
• Good communicator
• Efficient and conscientious
