Cookbook & Short Story Club

In October, cookbook club celebrates Moroccan cooking with recipes from “Madaq: Simple and Delicious Recipes with the Flavors of Morocco” by Nargisse Benkabbou. This book contains both traditional and non-traditional recipes full of Moroccan flavor – no tagine pot needed! The focus is on simple recipes with familiar ingredients and cooking techniques, many quick enough to prepare for a weeknight dinner. The cookbook is on display at the Warren Library so participants may browse and choose a recipe to prepare for a potluck dinner.

We'll also give out copies of two short stories by Moroccan-American author Laila Lalami to read and discuss over dinner. However, there is no pressure to finish —
