About this event
Born in Birmingham’s Handsworth district in 1975, Steel Pulse is a Grammy-winning reggae powerhouse blending hard-hitting social messages with militant rhythms. They were the first reggae band to play at a U.S. presidential inauguration, the first to appear on The Tonight Show, and the first non-Jamaican act to win a Grammy for Best Reggae Album. Led by founding member David Hinds, their music has always been rooted in activism and speaking truth about racism and social injustice.
Experience Steel Pulse live under the stars at Quarry Park Amphitheatre, where militant rhythms meet infectious grooves and social consciousness fuels every note. This is reggae with a message.
