Position Summary: JCCA is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for our staff, clients, and visitors. This is a vital position on our team, ensuring the protection and well-being of everyone on the residential campus while supporting our mission-driven work. Job Responsibilities: As a Security Guard at JCCA, you will play a key role in daily safety operations, including:
• Patrolling the campus to safeguard personnel and property
• Monitoring surveillance equipment and securing access points
• Enforcing safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
• Acting as primary contact for first responders during critical incidents (fire, active shooter, major disturbances, natural disasters)
• Providing professional, courteous assistance to staff, clients, and visitors
• Helping de-escalate client or visitor incidents when needed
• Responding swiftly to emergencies and offering support
• Documenting incidents, observations, and security activities
• Checking doors, windows, emergency lighting, and fire safety equipment; reporting needed repairs
• Managing vehicle access and reporting unauthorized vehicles
• Following procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident investigations
• Maintaining an accurate daily visitor log at the guard booth
• Communicating with alarm monitoring vendors when alarms are triggered
• Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems for potential security breaches or hazards
