Position Overview: The Assistant Property Manager works with the Director, Facilities to ensure the successful completion of building and maintenance repairs, security of campgrounds, construction and remodeling projects, housekeeping, equipment and vehicle safety, and ongoing property landscaping at the Camp Chi/Perlstein property. The Assistant Property Manager assumes management responsibility when the Director, Facilities is not on site.
Responsibilities: • Assign and supervise the training and work of all maintenance staff, and lead the team when the Director, Facilities is not on site • Survey buildings and facilities for safety and provide hands-on repair work involving carpentry, plumbing, electric, A/C, and more • Maintain the grounds, including snow removal in winter and landscaping, mowing, and debris removal in spring, summer, and fall • Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural systems • Work with contractors and vendors to obtain bids, schedule work, and ensure it is completed correctly and on time • Provide evening/weekend coverage as part of rotation, for program support, emergency callouts, and site rounds • Help maintain compliance with the facility management budget and report daily to the Director, Facilities
