Our client is the American Committee for Shaare Zedek Medical Center. https://acsz.org/. The hospital does not receive any funding from the Israeli government and relies on the generosity of friends and family from around the world to help continue a high level of healthcare. The Medical Center is looking for a Director of the Southeast Region to manage fundraising efforts. The Director will develop, coordinate and implement strategies for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of new major gift prospects and donors. This position reports to the CEO. The hired candidate can work remotely, but must live between Hollywood and Boynton FL.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree and minimum of five years of professional fundraising experience having a successful track record of soliciting prospects at the major gift level
Proven ability to work well with high-powered prospects and donors.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to persuasively communicate the Center's needs and priorities.
Ability and willingness to travel and be available for some evening meetings and events.
Knowledge and comfort using a variety of computer programs relating to fundraising, writing letters, and managing events.
Key Responsibilities:
Working together with the CEO to create a strategic plan to bring in new donors and steward and solicit existing donors.
Expanding Shaare Zedek's reach within the Southeast Region.
Creating a new base of supporters from varied demographics.
Developing and promoting donations through estates, trusts, and charitable gift annuities.
Implementing creative new ideas and initiatives for the betterment of the organization.
Represent the hospital to the Jewish Community
Coordinate Special Events
Liaison with Family Foundations and Corporate Foundations
Overhaul the region to reestablish a base of leadership and giving
In the future: Events that attract new donors and strengthen existing relationships
