Director of Major Gifts

About the role

Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services is seeking a Director of Major Gifts to provide key leadership in growing the agency's philanthropic reach throughout Tampa Bay and beyond. This exempt role leads the growth of all aspects of the annual campaign, with direct responsibility for expanding the annual gala, cultivating mid-level individual donors, and fostering business and corporate engagement.

Responsibilities: • Create and lead the annual fundraising plan to meet or exceed donor growth, retention, and revenue goals • Lead the annual Gala to reach or exceed its net income goals • Grow and steward mid-level donations ($1,000+) • Help the Vice President of Development build and scale the business and corporate engagement strategy • Partner with the Communications Manager on branded, donor-centric print and digital communications • Track progress against goals and benchmarks and adapt as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of fundraising experience; CFRE preferred
• Proven success securing six- and seven-figure gifts and in face-to-face fundraising
• Experience planning and executing campaigns and events, and writing appeals, cases for support, and stewardship reports
• Budget management experience and a record of leading volunteer committees
• Familiarity with a donor CRM such as Raiser's Edge; proficient in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance
• Salary:
• $90,000 - $100,000
