Scheck Hillel Community School, a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon college-preparatory Jewish community school serving over 1,300 students from PK through 12th grade in North Miami Beach, Florida, is seeking an experienced full-time Director of Facilities. The Director oversees all aspects of facility management, maintenance, and operational efficiency, developing standard operating procedures and leading the facilities team to keep the campus safe, functional, and welcoming.
Responsibilities: • Plan and implement facility projects, including renovations, expansions, and improvements, aligned with academic and operational priorities • Own standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and service level agreements • Supervise the Maintenance Manager, manage coverage and on-call scheduling, and lead team professional development • Run the work-order/CMMS program, including triage, backlog management, and KPI reporting • Own the life-safety compliance program, inspections, and audit readiness • Develop and manage the facilities budget, lead bid processes, and manage vendor contracts and payments • Conduct weekly walkthroughs with the Maintenance Manager and monthly walkthroughs with the COO
