About the role

Position Overview:A growing manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to oversee and optimize all core business operations. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for driving efficiency, accountability, and performance across three key departments: Office/Quoting/Purchasing, Warehouse/Production, and Shipping.The ideal candidate is a strong operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, works independently, and leads by example. This individual will partner closely with ownership to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, improve profitability, and build scalable operational processes.This is a fully onsite position requiring a consistent leadership presence from 7AM to 4PM Monday-Thursday and 7AM to 12PM Fridays.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations across Office/Quoting/Purchasing, Warehouse/Production, and Shipping departmentsLead and support department managers while driving accountability and cross-functional collaborationEvaluate existing workflows and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivityIdentify operational bottlenecks and develop practical solutions that improve performance and profitabilityEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departmentsImprove communication, coordination, and execution between teamsCreate and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistency and scalabilityAnalyze operational data and metrics to drive informed business decisionsWork closely with ownership to execute strategic initiatives and growth objectivesFoster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceQualifications:3-10+ years of operations, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or business management experienceProven ability to improve processes, increase efficiency, and drive measurable operational resultsStrong leadership skills with experience managing multiple departments and teamsSelf-motivated, independent, and comfortable making decisions without constant oversightAbility to hold managers and employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationshipsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsFluent in both Yiddish and EnglishProficient with Microsoft Office and operational management systemsComfortable working in a hands-on environment and spending time on the production floor when neededCompensation & Benefits:Salary: $100,000-$200,000+ DOEPerformance-based compensation tied directly to operational improvements and company growthSignificant earning potential as company profitability increasesOpportunity to work directly with ownership and make a meaningful impact on business performanceLong-term growth opportunity within a stable and growing organizationAbout the Employer:This established manufacturing and distribution company serves a growing customer base and is seeking an operational leader who can bring structure, accountability, and efficiency to the organization.
