Brooklyn Based Bakery is looking for a responsible, organized, andhands-on Overnight Packing Manager to oversee our evening packing operation. Hours are 5pm- 3 am. Sunday- Wednesday SALARY- $2,000 a week. This position is responsible for managing approximately15 employees who pack a wide variety of bakery products for different customersand orders. Because we work with many different packaging materials, labels,boxes, and customer-specific requirements, attention to detail and strongorganization are extremely important. Responsibilities • Overseeand manage approximately 15 packing employees throughout the shift. • Makesure all products are packed correctly and according to each customer'sspecific order requirements. • Ensurethe correct boxes, packaging materials, labels, quantities, and packing methodsare being used. • Revieworders carefully and make sure instructions are followed accurately. • Keepthe packing operation organized and moving efficiently throughout the night. • Communicateclearly and respectfully with employees and be able to give direction whenneeded. • Addresspacking mistakes or employee issues as they arise. • Followinstructions and priorities provided by the General Manager. • Bedependable, responsible, and consistently on time. • Arrive20 minutes before the start of each shift to meet with the previous shiftmanager, review outstanding work, and understand the priorities andresponsibilities for the night. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is: • Reliableand punctual. • Detail-orientedand organized. • Comfortablemanaging and directing a team. • Ableto communicate well with employees. • Ableto follow detailed instructions while also taking responsibility for theoperation. • Calmand capable of handling a busy production environment. • Willingto be hands-on and make sure the job gets done correctly. This is an important management position within ourbakery and requires someone who takes ownership of the shift and makes sureevery order leaves the packing department correctly and on time.
