Position OverviewA growing packaging, automation, and industrial solutions company is seeking a meticulous and proactive full-time Junior Buyer to support procurement operations and ensure timely sourcing and availability of products. This position entails working closely with suppliers, sales teams, and operations to maintain inventory, manage purchase orders, and support customer demand in the company's packaging automation equipment division. ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage purchase ordersCommunicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and order statusMonitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planningCoordinate with sales and operations to meet customer needsResolve purchasing, delivery, and product issuesMaintain accurate purchasing and vendor recordsAssist with supplier negotiations and relationship managementSupport logistics and shipment coordinationParticipate in process improvement initiativesQualifications1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative experience preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsDetail-oriented with excellent follow-throughProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with ERP or purchasing systems is a plusEagerness to learn and grow within a procurement careerCompensation & Benefits$26-$33/hr (based on experience)Healthcare benefits & PTOCareer growth and development opportunitiesAbout the EmployerOur client is a well-established packaging and industrial solutions provider serving businesses throughout the Northeast.
