Our client, an architectural firm specializing in multifamily, is seeking a highly experienced Architectural Project Manager with deep expertise in NYC multifamily projects, to oversee project, improve layout efficiency, and ensure full compliance with city codes and standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding architectural drafters through complex design and planning processes, editing architectural plans, and offering expert insights that lead to better outcomes in space utilization, compliance, and construction feasibility. Responsibilities: Review and refine architectural drawings and submittals created by architectural drafters, ensuring design accuracy and feasibility. Provide expert guidance on NYC multifamily code compliance, zoning laws, and Dept of Building filing standards. Advise on improved layout and design strategies to maximize unit functionality. Serve as a senior reviewer and editor of project documentation, ensuring deliverables meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements. Mentor architectural drafters on best practices in architectural planning, constructability, and site coordination. Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to resolve layout or design conflicts before build-out. Participate in early-stage planning meetings to influence design direction based on experience with successful multifamily builds. Monitor project phases to ensure design continuity and consistency throughout development and construction.
