Community Engagement Program Coordinator

About the role

Jewish Collaborative Services (JCS) is looking for an energetic, mission-driven coordinator to lead and grow its volunteer and internship programs. These programs serve older adults, families and community members across Rhode Island. The role sits on the External Relations team and also oversees the Friendly Visitors Program, which reduces social isolation for older adults.

Responsibilities: • Recruit, onboard, train, place, supervise and recognize volunteers and interns • Oversee and support Friendly Visitors Program volunteers • Build relationships with community partners and JCS program staff • Support communications and outreach through content creation, graphic design and storytelling

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, human services, nonprofit management, education, social work or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience coordinating volunteers, interns, programs or community engagement
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Preferred: nonprofit or aging-services experience, Canva/Adobe, volunteer databases or CRMs, social media content creation Salary: $50,000/year
