Burquest Jewish Community Association (BJCA), a welcoming and growing Jewish community serving the Tri-Cities and the northeastern Fraser Valley for more than 40 years, seeks an Executive Director to lead its next chapter. BJCA operates the Burquest Jewish Community Centre in Coquitlam. Reporting to the Board, this hands-on leader will help move BJCA from a primarily volunteer-driven organization to a sustainable, professionally managed one.
Responsibilities: • Lead day-to-day operations, staff and contractors • Strengthen financial and administrative systems and support the Board • Grow fundraising through donor relationships, grants, sponsorships and new revenue sources • Develop membership, programming and community partnerships • Oversee planning for BJCA's licensed childcare initiative, including licensing, facilities and budgeting
The ideal leader is community-centred and relationship-driven, and equally comfortable reviewing a budget, engaging volunteers and community members, writing a grant, coaching staff and supporting Board discussions.
