About the role

Overview We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team at our Brooklyn office. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing corporate tax returns and personal returns, along with a strong understanding of corporate closings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporate tax returns and personal returns.

• Assist with corporate closings.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and ProSeries.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns

• Manage multiple tax engagements and deadlines

• Review tax work prepared by junior staff

• Assist with tax planning, projections, and tax research

• Communicate directly with clients and address tax-related questions

• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax developments

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and Quickbooks.
• Familiarity with Google applications.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns.
