Pressman Academy, an ECC-8th grade Jewish School in the Pico/Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles, is searching for a long-term substitute teacher for our TK class.
Position: TK Lead Teacher (Long Term Sub) Instruction Time: 8:30-4:00 M-Th, 8:00-3:00 F (Hours include prep time)
The ECC/TK Teacher is expected to:
• Cultivate an environment where inquisitiveness is valued and ideas flowfreely about the atmosphere.
• Set high expectations created out of love and hope for each child.
• See each child for his or her unique beauty.
• Identify the spiritual and intellectual growth of each child.
• Serve as a role model for the child by demonstrating integrity and honor.
• Go beyond narrow job descriptions and participate in the full life of the child at school.
• Recognize that we can learn from each child if we pay attention.
• Support the learning style of each child by utilizing accommodations for students having difficulties.
• Develop a keen eye and a sensitive ear toward student interests, then makes every effort to provide a dynamic curriculum supporting these ideas.
• Communicate with parents in a loving and honest manner, always sharing the positive and remarkable traits of a youngster before stating concerns.
• Recognize when change is needed and happily flow with the mood of the class.
• Demonstrate professionalism across settings.
• Provide a safe and happy environment for the remarkable journey of learning.
